Havana syndrome: the head of the CIA suspects the Russian Federation of using directed energy weapons

“Not much time has passed since the meeting between Biden and Putin in Geneva. Both countries, in my opinion, are on the verge of a very acute crisis. And this crisis is associated with the so-called Havana syndrome.

You probably remember what this is about, but I'll explain now.

An employee of the Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, this is the American equivalent of the GRU, published an article, or rather not an article, but a book called "Putin's Playbook: Russia's Secret Plan to Defeat America".

Such, you know, a provocative, bright, catchy name. But this lady, Rebekah Koffler, she worked at the Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense for quite a long time as an analyst, was engaged in Russia. And her views, in general, can be as interesting as the views of an insider.

And so she recently gave an interview to the New York Post (we are talking, apparently, about the material authored by Rebekah Koffler herself "New attacks on US officials prove Russia is our enemy, not our friend", and not about an interview with her - editor's note), which, I must say, is not particularly authoritative, but the main thing here is not the reputation of the newspaper, but it is important who gives the interview and what it is about.

And so she chose the topic of the Havana Syndrome. If you remember why this phenomenon was called the Havana Syndrome: for the first time in 2016, a number of employees of American diplomatic missions in Havana experienced severe headaches, dizziness, nausea, and then somehow it all went to a number of other countries. This has manifested itself even in Syria.

And since Biden came to the White House, more than two dozen new cases have appeared when American diplomatic representatives in other countries - in particular, the last case was in Vienna, Austria - experienced this syndrome.

The author of the interview, the author of this book I told you about, insists that the only real country that can be behind this is Putin's Russia.

Why? Because this is the only country that has the ability to develop, to produce what is called a directed energy weapon - that is, a directed energy weapon, and it actually tested it.

In particular, it is indicated that these weapons were tested on American personnel in Syria as part of the military operations that are taking place there, where the Russian armed forces are present, and more recently the Americans have also been there.

About a year ago, the American Academy of Sciences made a rather detailed analysis of these cases associated with the Havana syndrome and came to the conclusion that we are talking about pulsating, as it were, shots of directed energy, this is how they are called, if literally translate - pulsating radio frequency energy.

The author writes about the history of the use (of these technologies) by the Soviet Union - the State Security Committee, the predecessor (creation) of this directed energy weapon. In particular, in 1953-1976, the KGB, according to the author, bombarded the American embassy in Moscow with low-frequency microwave pulses, which, however, at least at that time, were not intended to harm the embassy staff, but rather were intended to lead to the effect of those eavesdropping devices that were in the American embassy, which were introduced there by the KGB.

In particular, there was a case, I heard about this when I worked in the KGB, when, with the help of a pioneer delegation that visited the American ambassador at the embassy, it was then still in the old building, on Tchaikovsky Street, he was presented with the coat of arms of the United States, an eavesdropping device. And the moved ambassador put this coat of arms right on his head, since then the State Security Committee has been listening to all the conversations that took place in the ambassador's office for a very long time.

Moreover, the KGB specialists who told us about this noted the very high level of technical manufacture of this device, that is, it could not be determined by regular checks using technical means, which, of course, were carried out in this office, because this device did not work constantly. it turned on and off, and turned on exactly when there was a conversation, it responded to the voice. Plus, it was also turned on and off, as it is believed, remotely, with the help of these microwave radiation.

But, apparently, there was also a side effect of these emissions. Because, I remember, there was a report by the US State Department many, many years ago, according to which four consecutive US ambassadors to the Soviet Union, upon returning home, soon fell ill with cancer and died.

And now it is believed that this new weapon of directed energy is, as it were, a continuation of those efforts, those developments that were carried out back in the days of the Soviet Union, in the days of the KGB.

Thus, it has been established who, or rather, what causes the Havana Syndrome and everyone, in general, is turned towards the Putin regime, because it is believed that, firstly, the Russian special services have experience in developing similar directed energy weapons and in recent years they really tested it, applied it in Syria.

And in this regard, we will move on to a recent interview that the CIA director gave to public radio in Washington, it was ten days ago, but it echoes very relevantly with these recent events and the strategic plans and intentions of the United States.

As for the Havana syndrome. So, the ambassador said that this is his biggest headache. When asked by a journalist why you wake up at night and cannot fall asleep, he said that this is a matter of the safety of my employees, this is problem number 1, which worries me now.

According to the ambassador, since 2016, when this story with the Havana syndrome first appeared, there have been about two hundred similar cases. Of these, half are CIA employees overseas. That is, we are talking about the fact that this is not some random source that randomly strikes some space in a certain radius and everyone who is there.

Those who use this weapon, apparently, use it purposefully in order to cause damage, first of all, to the employees of the American special services, that is, they, apparently, know where these people are and precisely in those premises, those parts of buildings where, the CIA station is supposed to be stationed and these energy weapons are being sent. That is, we are talking specifically about a targeted operation of causing harm to American intelligence officers who work in diplomatic missions in specific countries.

In addition to the troubles associated with headaches and other symptoms, this kind of exposure actually results in brain damage to the victims of these attacks. These people are now undergoing serious healing courses at Reed's military hospital, which is located in Maryland.

That is, we are no longer talking about some kind of harmless games of incomprehensible people, we are talking about the fact that this is a weapon that has the goal of causing harm, moreover, serious harm, to the health and even the life of specific American citizens. And now this is a very, very serious question. This is a national security issue. This is, in fact, if you like, I am sure that all this will eventually spill out, a terrorist attack against government officials in the United States of America.

The journalist who was doing this interview for National public radio asks the CIA director, "Tell me, is Russia behind this?" That is, immediately the question is who is behind this. Not China, not North Korea, the question of Russia. The diplomat's answer, Mr. Burns - he is a longtime diplomat, at least 35 years in the diplomatic service, this is his first position in the CIA: yes, he says, it may well be, but I would not like to speculate now until we get concrete answers to this question.

He hopes that these answers will be received, because for the first time, on his instructions, within the CIA, a special working group has been created on this issue. It was led by a very serious analyst who, at one time, is believed to have played a prominent role in locating bin Laden's whereabouts, as a result of which bin Laden was destroyed. The question is very acute, the best forces of the CIA are involved in this matter, in this operation.

And the main focus, the main thing, to which they must answer, first of all: what, what kind of weapon is it, how does it work, how does it work? And second: who is in charge of this business?

And if this operation brings results and suspicions are confirmed, I am afraid that this will be the most serious crisis in Russian-American relations, which could spoil them very radically and for a long time.

That is, the question may arise in such a way that Russia can be recognized as a terrorist state, since it is clear that amateurs, some private organizations cannot possess these weapons and cannot use them the way they have been used since 2016, not just against objects of US diplomatic missions, but precisely against those parts of the buildings of these embassies, where, as it is assumed, the stations of the American special services - the CIA and military intelligence - were located".

On our own behalf, we add that everything said and written is nothing more than a version of our overseas "partners". It is possible that the Kremlin will completely reject any speculation about this.
