Despite the loud PR on the part of Russian propagandists, the world irrevocably refuses from the Sputnik-V vaccine.
Сюжет
Pandemic

The tragicomic situation is developing around the widely advertised domestic vaccine "Sputnik-V". According to media reports, in those countries that Russian officials promised to save with this drug, the picture is as follows:

- Ghana received only 20 thousand doses out of the promised 3.4 million;

- Angola - 40 thousand out of 12 million;

- Guatemala - 160 thousand doses out of paid 8 million;

- Bolivia - 1.3 million out of 5.2 million promised by the end of May;

- Argentina received from the schedule 5.5 million doses of the first component and more than 13 million doses of the second.

And this is an incomplete list! Several countries are already revising or canceling contracts for Sputnik, but not because of the pressure from the world behind the scenes, as Russian propagandists like to present it, but because of the disruption in delivery dates. Moreover, this is only the tip of the iceberg, because in some countries, this problem is being solved quietly, political analyst Dmitry Nekrasov writes in his blog. Somewhere the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) itself turned back at the time of the conclusion of contracts.

It turns out that the share of Russia in the world export of vaccines is less than 1%! And this is even less than the Russian share in the world economy or population. But Sputnik was loudly and regularly called the most recognizable vaccine in the world !!! And they also regularly boasted of this recognition from TV screens.

“Maybe this recognition was invented by the Kremlin propaganda (it’s easier to produce vaccines), but if the recognition is not phony, it’s even funnier. The image just perfectly describes the country ”- writes Nekrasov.

Meanwhile, in terms of the rate of vaccination of its own population, Russia is noticeably lagging behind the average world rates and almost twice as high as Cambodia, the expert sneers and notes that this situation is the best evidence of the key problem of Russian society, which is inadequate self-esteem, while "Reality breaks through the gaps in the puffed out cheeks":

“They shouted for a long time“ we have the best vaccine, we will save everyone ”. We went boasting. They wrote to me here "look how these poor Brazilians, countries without sovereignty, cannot save their people with our" Sputnik "because of American pressure".

It was easy to blow your cheeks while you could hide behind tales of "the intrigues of the world behind the scenes," but when you sign a contract, you understand that you will have to pay a forfeit. And if even such a person as far from this sphere as I wrote here at the beginning of the year that there can be no "Sputnik" on a significant scale a priori, then the people from RDIF understood this for sure. They simply, according to their position, could not prevent the authorities from blowing their cheeks, and therefore they quietly sabotaged the deliberately empty bragging.

And the sad thing about all this is that even in a situation when the blowing of the cheeks was so obviously ridiculous. When it was, as far as possible in principle, clearly and humiliatingly demonstrated to everyone, it will not change anything. Boasting clearly turned out to be zilch, but no one would think about the fact that past merits are just as invented as the current ones (Although, without any jokes, I am sure that in 50 years Russian history textbooks will write about Russia's key contribution to victory over the pandemic). No one will be disappointed in empty braggart. No one will stop blowing their cheeks further without any reason and still be surprised that they are not loved and understood...”, - the expert concludes.
