Ordinary racism: three facts that explain the events in the United States

An interesting material has appeared on the Air Force website that clearly explains the reason for the new wave of protests in the United States, the immediate cause of which was the murder of African American George Floyd by the police.

From the above graphs, it becomes clear what is the matter.

First, African Americans are far more likely to die at the hands of the police. Moreover, the percentage of deaths has changed in recent years, again in favor of the white population.

Secondly, African Americans are more often imprisoned for drug offenses, although white Americans use drugs just as often.

And thirdly, African Americans are five times more likely to be imprisoned than white people, and two times more likely than Hispanics.

So it all fits together.
