Experts from the ZIRCON research group (Center for Intellectual Resources and Cooperation of the Social Sciences) tried to find out what are the so-called values professed by Russian citizens. The results were somewhat unexpected: all the first places in the preferences of the Russians were given to a happy well-fed life in a narrow circle of relatives, close ones, and also to material well-being. This assessment was supported by Alexey Danilyuk:
“Comrades sometimes express an ideal set of myths about the population of Russia. But Pavel Tumakov rightly doubted that this scale of values is something progressive:
“The health of our own and those close to us is actually an animal“ value”, an instinct for self-preservation, barely covered by a veil. This is the root of everything. The question is not in values, but in their absence! With such little people you can do anything at all. Press on instincts through emitters only ... "
Not happy about the results and Maxim Prytkov:
“An interesting profession is two times less than material satisfaction - you cannot create an elephant with such a mood. You won’t create anything. Health and safety in the first places are quite traditional, by the way. And, sorry for the tautology, sensible..."
