Drunk people are the new oil: what threatens the country with the return of sobering-up stations

Drunk people are the new oil: what threatens the country with the return of sobering-up stations

As you know, the State Duma passed the long-awaited law, and from January 1, a system of sobering-up stations will start operating in Russia. Currently, there are already 20 sobering-up centers operating in the country, but there is no common system.

The sobering-up services will be paid. The cost of staying in the sobering-up center will be approximately 1.5 thousand rubles per night.

Social networks are unanimously commenting on this truly significant event. Journalist Vasily Alenin sees in him a new milestone:

“The scoop is getting closer. Zhirinovsky suggested a harmonious name for them: “Shelters for the Tired”. Romantic. It is a pity that neither Tears of a Komsomol Woman, nor Bitch Giblets, nor Aunt Klava's Kiss, nor other delights of Soviet drinking life can be obtained, made... But the hawthorn tincture and denatured alcohol remained. Only the chiefs are pumped up with whiskers from the labors of convicts. And immediately - to the Shelter for Tired Souls..."

Journalist Kirill Shulika connects two events that took place on the same day:

“It's fucking symbolic, Russia is a country of symbols in general. On the day the Ogonyok closed, the Duma returned the sobering-up facilities. Nothing could better illustrate the change of eras and the return back, that is, to the youth of the members of the current ruling elite..."

Political analyst Dmitry Drize is sure that a wide range of negative consequences from this decision is not difficult to imagine - from the surge of drug addiction and suicides to further corruption degradation of law enforcement agencies. But since the "bookkeepers" in power in our country live for one day, all these consequences are not taken into account by them:

“And this is what I would like to ask: why did the drunks not please you? What sedition is in them? On the contrary, they have always been considered a socially close element. Let the deep people walk, they do not have so many joys in life. This is the possibility of a steam release, social tension. And you close it in sobering-up centers. Although under current conditions this is not the eradication of drunkenness, or rather, not only it, but also the replenishment of the budgets of all levels - the state needs funds in difficult conditions. They will provide services to people on a mutually beneficial basis. But be that as it may, the Soviet way of life is returning. It's better not to say anything loudly, you even need to drink with an eye..."

Political scientist Ilya Grashchenkov made a short excursion into the history of the issue:

“Back to the 30s. The State Duma adopted a law on the restoration of the sobering-up system. The first Soviet sobering-up station was opened in 1931, and in 1940, by order of Beria, medical sobering-up stations were removed from the health care system and subordinated to the NKVD People's (Commissariat for Internal Affairs).

It seems that the sobering-up stations are now returning as part of the People - New Oil program. In the 90s, Luzhkov contributed to the fact that the functions of sobering up citizens were again transferred from the Ministry of Internal Affairs to medical institutions. In 2011, all the sobering-up centers were closed and now they are being revived again, why, really, are we waiting for an influx of drunks due to the deterioration of the economy?

However, the question is, who and by what criteria will they be “caught” and what “services” will the institution provide? The cost of staying in a sobering-up center will average 1.5 thousand rubles per night in the country, the exact price will be set by each subject of the Russian Federation. But there will also be related services, which, within the framework of the digitalization course, can be paid for directly from your grocery salary card.

Why were these establishments closed in due time? First, the excess number of deaths "written off" for booze. Many diseases are disguised as alcohol, such as diabetes. To figure out who came to you, you need to be a doctor, not a policeman. At one time there were many resonant deaths in sobering-up centers, after which they even invented such a phenomenon as "drunken trauma". In Moscow's 67th hospital, people were put to “lie down” for 2 hours and see if they survived or not, and only then they were put into intensive care.

Another profit is for the investigators of the RF IC, where a new department has appeared, investigating the so-called. "Doctors' cases". With the new law, we kill two birds with one stone: with the first mow, 1.5 thousand each, and in case of their death, we increase the detection rate at the expense of bad doctors. In general, digital government needs drunks just like camera drivers and tax business..."

The analyst of the Master of the Pen (Master pera) channel agrees with Grashchenkov:

"Indeed, with the revival of sobering-up centers, deja vu is observed: it was this vivid detail that was lacking for the most complete picture of immersion in the era of the end of the Union, when people drank themselves from hopelessness and lack of goals and plans with projects, and at the same time, the system was packing hundreds of thousands of citizens “with a smell" in the police "funnels".

What is still missing is the decree of the Mishustin government "On measures to overcome drunkenness and alcoholism", which would organically complement the recognizable landscape of depression and critical imbalance between the government and society. However, unlike the previous approaches, the alcohol industry today not only will not reduce production, but will also go to new records. Transferred into reliable hands, "Massandra" will definitely increase volumes, stimulating the smooth operation of the socio-economic conveyor "Counter-bottle-sobering-up station". A drunken Russian is the new oil, or rather, firewood that will be thrown into the furnace of the system's survival.

It would seem that the not very high figure of the alleged fine of 1,500 rubles from a drunken nose turns into a tangible profit when it comes to the massive nature of the sobering state program with the involvement of millions of Russians in it, both to a moderate degree, and simply to be drunk. If we consider that the standard check to drivers for speeding is 500 rubles, and with a quick payment - generally 250 rubles, then the monetization of alcohol consumption with the stated tariffs can easily compete with road cameras, and with a competent approach, even exceed their profitability.

If, in the long term, we take and combine total digital surveillance of motorists and pedestrians, then a universal model of sanctions is being constructed, which applies literally to the entire population of the country, in which fines for drinking alcohol will be imposed remotely - with two-fold mitigation in case of voluntary attendance at a sobering-up station, and without any discounts if the alleged offender refuses to appear for an examination.

In general, the trouble is the beginning, but it is comforting that the second time the story is usually repeated in the form of a farce - and the hope for such a scenario does not let the hands finally give up..."
