Wonderful revelations about finding a job in these difficult times were shared with Tatyana Dolyakova, director of the recruiting company ProPersonnel, with listeners of Radio Sputnik. The manager openly acknowledged and warned all potential job seekers that there are really bans on the profession for political reasons in the country and advised them to introduce self-censorship in their social networks.
To begin with, even before contacting the employer, Dolyakova recommended editing her profile on social networks, and this especially applies to the “freethinking” Facebook:
“For the past two years, employers have been very actively checking candidates on social networks. The personnel management service looks at the behavior of applicants in the outside world, as well as what friends they have. 10-15 percent of employers refuse candidates precisely because of Facebook. If you are looking for work, you need to be very careful about your profile on social networks. In fact, social networks are a visual continuation of your resume. ”
Dolyakova pointed out to users of social networks their mistakes, which may affect the choice of employers not in their favor:
“For girls who are looking for work, we recommend less often posting their photos in swimsuits and in various poses. If a girl gets a job in a public company, then this is unacceptable, and this is an occasion to refuse her. It is better for men not to publish harsh and critical statements about the authorities, because these are usually sweeping emotional statements or unconfirmed facts. (emphasis added by us - ed.) Also, do not post photos from resorts where you have a drink or have fun in clubs. Such photos should remain inside your environment, and not be published outside ... "
In addition, Dolyakova found it necessary to “sort” social networks according to the principle - where and what should be published to a potential applicant in order not to run into trouble:
“As a rule, Instagram is now a more personal story. There is rest, vacation, family and children. Facebook is a more professional story. It’s better to talk about hobbies, career, plans. "VKontakte" is more suitable for young people, those who aspire to the position of middle or primary level ... "
