The World Health Organization (WHO) has included nine Russian products in the list of promising vaccines for the treatment of coronavirus. There are 19 drugs in the list.

Among the included in the list are six vaccines created at the State Scientific Center for Virology and Biotechnology "Vector" and three developed at other research centers, reported on the portal

Developments by Novosibirsk scientists included in the WHO list are drugs based on the “Ebola virus vaccines based on measles, influenza A, vesicular stomatitis, as well as subunit and mRNA vaccines”.

“In addition, BIOCAD presented two vaccines: live vaccine based on the attenuated basis of the influenza virus, created jointly with the Institute of Experimental Medicine, and encapsulated in mRNA liposomes,” the report said.

The listed preparation of the St. Petersburg Research Institute of Vaccines and Serums was developed on the basis of recombinant protein and nanoparticles.

WHO informs that today in the world there are 83 drugs for coronavirus, of which 77 are at the stage of preclinical studies. Six drugs undergo clinical trials in humans.

It was previously reported that Russian scientists have developed an experimental method for treating coronavirus. It consists in the fact that the patient must breathe helium oxide preheated to 92 degrees. The effect of the procedure on the lungs was compared by specialists with the effect of a sauna.
