"Tomorrow we have a great holiday - the Victory Day. I ask you, dear Crimeans, I understand and support your feelings... I ask you, I beg you, stay at home tomorrow. This is a holiday that you can meet in the family circle and remember your friends and relatives”, - said Aksyonov.
May 9 in the Crimea will be held only the laying of wreaths at memorials by officials. The parade of military equipment in Simferopol, Kerch and Feodosia, as well as the procession of the "Immortal Regiment" were postponed. In Sevastopol, an aviation flight over the bay and the parade of the ships of the Black Sea Fleet will take place.
Aksyonov congratulated the Crimeans on the upcoming holiday and said that the victory over the infection will certainly take place.
In the Republic of Crimea, 177 cases of coronavirus were detected. One death has been reported. From May 1, everyone arriving on the island and not having a permanent registration must spend 14 days in quarantine at the observatory.
We recall that the governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, promised the townspeople "be sure to choose the day when we all celebrate our main holiday - Victory Day," after "we cope with the epidemic together."
Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu spoke about the celebration of the Victory Day during the pandemic.
