President of Russia Vladimir Putin On May 18, he asked Muslims to heed the calls of the Muftis and celebrate the holiday at home, to refuse collective prayers and the tradition of gathering on this day by large companies. The Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation (DUM of the Russian Federation) and the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia (DSMR) said that mosques in the capital and other regions will be closed for believers on a holiday, but prayers in central mosques will not stop, and broadcasts can be watched online.
Mufti Sheikh, Chairman of the Council of Muftis of Russia (SMR) and the SAMD Ravil Gainutdin expressed hope that "through the broadcast of festive prayers and sermons, the spirit of the holiday will enter every Muslim home". He stressed that the fight against the virus continues, including tens of thousands of doctors, and urged Muslims to be patient, RIA Novosti reported.
