- I said that the emphasis is on renewing the invitations of the CIS heads of state, there are also our partners who have expressed a desire to come to our joy. As we know, Ukraine is not de facto, and in many ways, de jure, a member of the CIS, does not show a desire to somehow continue to work in these structures, and has never signaled its desire to share the joy of the Victory Day, - remarked Peskov.
According to him, the heads of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Serbia, Croatia, Abkhazia, South Ossetia have already confirmed their participation.
A spokesman for the Russian president also noted that Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko has not yet responded to the invitation.
“A number of leaders also received invitations, and we expect them to confirm from day to day”, - Peskov said.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the Victory Day parade was postponed until June 24 in connection with the pandemic. It was decided to make this day a day off. At the same time, there will be no traditional action of the Immortal Regiment on this day.
Meanwhile, a number of Russian regions refused to hold the parade on June 24. The heads of these constituent entities of the Russian Federation explained that the regions are not yet ready for the event, since there is an unstable situation in the spread of coronavirus.
Let us recall that earlier Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko suggested that NATO could provoke a military parade in Moscow in honor of the anniversary of the Victory.
