According to the interlocutor of the agency, Vyacheslav Furgal spent almost two weeks in a coma connected to a ventilator. He was hospitalized in May with suspected coronavirus, which was confirmed. Furgal was diagnosed with bilateral pneumonia.
Vyacheslav Furgal worked in the regional Duma for 10 years and, as noted, was the most experienced legislator in it. He was the head of the Duma budget committee, represented the LDPR faction.
On May 1, at a meeting of the Crimean coronavirus infection control headquarters, the death of 60-year-old deputy prime minister of the Crimean government Pavel Korolev became known, although the specific cause of his death was not named.
On April 18, Ivan Zhukov, a deputy of the Moscow Regional Duma, died of complications after coronavirus infection. He was hospitalized ten days before his death. Due to concomitant diseases, the disease progressed rapidly, and the deputy died in intensive care.
