"Unfortunately, the latest test of Elbasy (the leader of the nation) for coronavirus infection showed a positive result. There is no cause for concern. Nursultan Nazarbayev continues to work remotely", - Nazarbayev’s spokeswoman Aydos Ukibay told in Twitter.
Currently, Nazarbayev is on self-isolation.
Before this, a positive test result for COVID-19 was found in the speaker of the Mazhilis of the Kazakh parliament Nurlan Nigmatulin and the Minister of Health Yelzhan Birtanov.
In addition, some ministers, as well as Prime Minister Askar Mamin, decided to leave for self-isolation.
