Zelensky said that he would not visit Moscow to attend the Victory Parade

Even if an official invitation had come, Zelensky said, he would not have come to the parade.

"No, I would not go. It seems to me that there was no official invitation”, - he told the journalist of the Canadian publication The Globe and Mail.

The Ukrainian president was not really invited to the Victory Day parade on June 24 in the Russian capital. Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov explained that Ukraine “has never signaled its desire to share the joy of Victory Day”.

The head of the Federation Council Commission on Information Policy Alexei Pushkov believes that Zelensky’s statement once again proves the correctness of the decision not to invite him to the parade.

- Which once again proves the correctness of the decision not to send him an invitation. It would only be used for propaganda purposes against Russia, - Pushkov wrote on his Twitter.

Back in February, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadim Pristayko announced that the country intends to celebrate its Victory Day, as European countries (Ukraine is among them) "are ready to forgive each other in 75 years".

Let us recall that now Ukraine intends to continue to break off relations with Russia, as stated by the deputy head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
