The poet and publicist Lev Rubinstein commented on his blog the amazing statements made by the state propagandist Margarita Simonyan about the Seventh Studio case, the trial of which ended last week in Moscow: his defendants led by director Kirill Serebrennikov received suspended sentences, but at the same time must pay a huge amount of money "damage" that they caused to the state. Simonyan very accurately set government accents: how should the opposition behave in the future, so as not to run into big trouble:
“Margarita Simonyan, one of the high-ranking officials in the propaganda spheres, also did not remain silent about the “Theater matter”.
She, of course, unlike you and me, really wants all the good, but she does not want bad. Only she wishes good to the defendants, who, of course, are accused for a reason. Smoke without fire, as is well known since the 30s of the last century, does not happen. If you cut a forest, then you yourself know ...
“Tomorrow”, the virtuous Margarita writes, “they will call you to court, they will call you to the streets, they will call you to shout, not because these rousts will help Serebrennikov, but because it, on the contrary, will not help, but will do harm. The court does not like pressure, the scouts do not like pressure, the authorities do not like pressure.
All normal people should know that if they obey the rules of this game “the worse, the better” (the task of which is not to save Serebrennikov, but to pump up the boat a little more), then a possible prison term until the end of days will be on their conscience too”.
A wonderful, worthy of further study, the purest example of servile consciousness. Every letter breathes here.
Most of all, of course, I liked the place where "the government does not like pressure". As if I, a citizen and a taxpayer, containing this very power, should be exclusively interested in what she loves and what she does not love. This, in fact, she, the government, should be interested in what I like or dislike. At least I don’t like it when the authorities are quite brazenly and openly breaking the laws.
About "pump up the boat" is also good. What kind of impassability is this, what kind of sacred is such a golden-golden boat that it is no longer possible to “pump it up”?
Another quote:
“Normal people should know that if they obey the rules of this game“ the worse, the better”... and so on.
Firstly, the conviction of this beautiful lady with an impeccable moral reputation is touching that people who allow themselves to actively and actively sympathize with the innocently persecuted, it is this rule, the rule "the worse, the better", and are guided. And no more, of course, the rule, no one is guided or, as the active bearer of the same servile consciousness expresses, “submits”.
All this logic has long been well known. It comes down to the fact that one does not have to annoy the rapist very much. No need to screech and scratch - firstly, it is unlikely to decorate your appearance, secondly, it can upset the rapist, and he can inadvertently fool you.
You don’t want this? Then remember: the rapist does not like pressure. If you are silent, nodding and obeying his legal requirements, you will look and let him go with God. Well, if you submit not to him, but to the rule “the worse, the better” and “pump up the boat”, then blame yourself...”
PS
We are comforted by the indisputable worldly wisdom, according to which when they beat, but not to death, it is much better than when they beat to death. After all, this is pure truth! Who will argue!
