The turnout, according to preliminary data, which were announced earlier, amounted to about 65%, Interfax reports.
Among the regions, the majority of voters who supported the amendments are from Chechnya. There, almost 98% of voters voted for the changes. Less than two percent were against it. The region is marked and the highest turnout - more than 95%, write RIA Novosti. All protocols are already 100% processed.
The Nenets Autonomous Okrug became the only region in the country where the majority of voters opposed the amendments. 54% of Russians voted against amendments to the Constitution; only 45% were in favor of such changes.
The Kremlin does not dramatize the situation with a protest vote on constitutional amendments in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug (NAO), a source close to the presidential administration told Interfax.
"In 1993, voters in 17 regions voted against the constitutional referendum, in the course of the current plebiscite, only one subject of the federation voted against", - the agency’s source said.
In Moscow, two-thirds (66.1%) of the capital’s residents supported the changes, another third (32.9%) were against it.
Let us recall that the vote took place during the week of June 25. Residents of Moscow and the Nizhny Novgorod region could vote online this time. Other regions were denied electronic voting for formal reasons. At the same time, The All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM) survey showed that two-thirds of Russians are against the transition to online voting.
