After the governor of the Khabarovsk Territory Sergey Furgal was detained, five members of the regional branch of the LDPR party were searched.

"We know that searches were conducted in the apartments, garages, cars. I know that two deputies definitely had searches, three members of the party, that is, in fact, already five members of the LDPR party, in addition to Sergey Ivanovich Furgal, had searches", - said the first vice speaker of the Khabarovsk Regional Duma, the head of the LDPR faction Sergey Zyubr.

He noted that he did not know whether the searches were connected with the processes surrounding the Amurstal plant - the only metallurgical enterprise in the Far East (owned by the Torex group).

Earlier it was reported that deputies Sergey Kuznetsov and Dmitry Kozlov were detained on suspicion of major fraud. They have not yet been charged. The central district court of Khabarovsk today must choose a preventive measure for them.

Let us recall that Sergey Furgal is accused of organizing murders and attempted murders. The regional head does not recognize fault.

He was detained and taken to Moscow on July 9. According to Vladimir Zhirinovsky, "the detention was implemented not in the most correct form". The LDPR leader promised to defend Sergey Furgal and assured that "we will never expel him from the party".

Sergey Furgal continues to remain in the position of the governor, which he took in 2018 after a resounding victory over Vyacheslav Shport, who at those times was the acting head of the region, a member of the United Russia party.
