WHO: the vaccination against coronavirus will start no earlier than 2021

People will not be able to receive the coronavirus vaccine until the second half of the next year, said Michael Ryan, the director of the World Health Organization's Health Emergencies Program.

He noted that despite the progress in development, one must remain realistic when speaking about the timing of the drug. According to him, WHO is working to ensure that the drug is available to all citizens, regardless of their financial situation.

“Vaccines for this pandemic are not for the wealthy, they are not for the poor, they are for everybody”, - Ryan said.

Meanwhile, Russian virologists intend to register the vaccine they have developed in early August. According to the Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko, the drug will be registered in the first ten days of the next month.
