The Ministry of Finance offered to give unconfirmed income to pensioners

The majority of the factions are already ready to share the initiative, especially since the Pension Fund has a multibillion-dollar deficit, Izvestia reports.

To date, in favor of the state, property is being withdrawn that was acquired with unconfirmed income. In 2020, 21.4 billion rubles were transferred to the Pension Fund for the first time. for property confiscated from officials. Last year, the Constitutional Court confirmed that confiscation will threaten not only civil servants, but also everyone who cannot confirm the legality of the acquisition.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the clarifying amendments are now being made to the Civil Code that, in established cases, not only property can be confiscated in respect of which... the evidence has not been presented to confirm the acquisition of property for the legitimate income, but also the monetary funds - in the absence of evidence of the legality of their receipt. The draft of the bill has been submitted to the government.

It has not yet been announced how the checks will be carried out.

The amendments have already been advocated by A Just Russia, the Liberal Democratic Party and the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.
