Ivan Safronov's test for COVID-19 is negative

Earlier Ivan Safronov was suspected of a coronavirus infection.

“They tested him forcoronavirus. He was isolated in a pre-trial detention center and was suspected of having covid-19", - said a member of the Public Monitoring Commission Eva Merkachyova.

According to her, signs of the disease appeared over the weekend. It was assumed that Safronov could have become infected during the investigation.

Let us recall that Safronov was detained on July 7 and arrested until September 6. He is charged with the transfer of classified information about Russian military-technical cooperation and the military-industrial complex to one of the special services of the NATO countries.

Safronov's lawyers and relatives announced a fundraising campaign to support him.
