After the blocking of the YouTube channel of the Russian television company Tsargrad TV, presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov advised Russian journalists not to use this platform in order not to become dependent on it.

“Any foreign platform can block your account at any moment. If you use such resources, there is no guarantee that this will not happen at any time. All foreign resources should be treated with a low degree of trust",- Interfax quotes the press secretary of the president.

The Tsargrad TV channel announced the blocking of its' YouTube account on 28th of July. The reasons for blocking were not explained, representatives of the platform refused to conduct a dialogue with the TV channel. The TV channel plans to challenge this decision in court.

Later, the Google press service explained that the decision to block the content was made due to violations of export laws. The TV channel will not be able to restore its resource.

Blogger Natasha Hill is confident that the blocking of the TV channel is "purely political censorship". “Google decides that we - adults who are interested in politics and social problems - cannot watch or listen to some things, otherwise we will be seduced. We are utterly stupid and unstable. Look, let's start to Think Wrong. And what is right, Google decides for us”, - she said.

The TV channel was founded in 2015 by businessman Konstantin Malofeyev. Since 2014, sanctions have been imposed on the Russian businessman, since he "participated in the annexation of Crimea and sponsored the hostilities in the Donbass".
