For Rospotrebnadzor's attention: where exactly do viruses multiply

Literally all the media and social networks retold yesterday the statement of the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova: “The virus does not multiply either in the sea water or in the fresh water, but at the same time it can persist, and our close monitoring - about 800 studies - shows that these kind of risks do not exist by now".

Also, according to Popova, it was revealed that the coronavirus "is not resistant to temperatures, that is, boiling kills it instantly, like many other viruses".

In fact, even in the school biology course it was said that viruses, unlike bacteria, in principle, cannot multiply anywhere except inside a living cell. That is why they are dangerous.

Perhaps biology was not Popova's favorite subject, but her speechwriters should have known such basic things, since they are doing their hard work.
