Mikhail Khazin: "The answer to the confiscation of funds will be the transition to cash"

As you know, the Ministry of Finance is preparing amendments to the Civil and Budget Codes concerning the income of Russians. The funds, the legality of the receipt of which will be impossible to prove, they intend to confiscate and transfer to the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation.

Economist Mikhail Khazin posted a comment on this issue on his YouTube channel.

“The Ministry of Finance has decided to confiscate suspicious savings of Russians. The corresponding bill has been submitted to the government.

If the Russian Federation really begins to confiscate the money of citizens, the legality of the receipt of which cannot be proven, then this will result in an enormous volume of problems.

It's all about the interpretation, and I think the interpretation will be as follows.

Banks will seize funds. For example, usually a salary of 30 thousand rubles comes to your card. And then suddenly 100 thousand comes.

Now, very often, you cannot withdraw these 100 thousand, since the bank requires you to explain where they came from.

Now they will be arrested immediately, as potentially stolen from the state.

In addition, as I understand it, the tax office will be engaged in calculating your expenses and your income.

And if she discovers that you are spending significantly more than you receive, then she will try to lay her hands on this money.

The problem is that now this can only be done through the courts. And only in case of confiscation.

And here it will be done at the administrative level.

We have all heard stories of how the money that the husband sent to his wife was arrested, since the spouses had different surnames.

As a result, the reaction of the people will be completely primitive - they will switch to cash payments".
