Alzheimer's disease threatens most of the population in five years, believes Igor Dolgushin, a psychiatrist, neurorehabilitologist, head of the MyBrain project.

In an interview with Sputnik radio, the expert explained that a person's memory is deteriorating due to the modern lifestyle: there is too much information, and the brain does not have time to process it.

According to Igor Dolgushin, memory does not have time to cope with the "information chaos", and such an overload also negatively affects the emotional state of people, causing constant stress. In this regard, cognitive functions are also reduced.

The neurorehabilitologist believes that the dangerous consequence of the abundance of information is not only memory loss and attention deficit, but also Alzheimer's disease, which is now more common, and by 2025 may come out on top.

Disappointing pun: Alzheimer's disease also threatens gamers, since apps and games supposedly designed to train memory and attention are useless.

"Games for the brain do not help develop functions. If you want to develop memory or attention, there are large systemic methodologies, exercises must be repeated 20-50-100-200 times - this way you build up neural tracts in the brain that will be responsible for working memory. This is a big, complex systematic work", - Igor Dolgushin noted.

Earlier, at the international conference of the Alzheimer's Association, two reports were presented at once, the authors of which claim that vaccinations against influenza and pneumonia significantly reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer's disease.
