Minsk police on Tuesday detained Yegor Martinovich, the editor-in-chief of the Belarusian newspaper Nasha Niva. At a protest on Monday, the journalist Natalya Lubnevskaya was wounded in the leg.

- From the editor-in-chief of Nasha Niva Yegor Martinovich was received a SOS-SMS. This means that he was detained, - the editorial office of the newspaper indicated in its Telegram channel.

Martinovich was returning home by car after covering events in the Belarusian capital.

We remind that on Monday the correspondent of Nasha Niva Natalya Lubnevskaya was shot in the knee during a rally in Minsk. The journalist had to be hospitalized.

The security forces began to fire at the protesters at about half past eight.

The republic's Ministry of Internal Affairs has officially announced that one person was killed in the riots.
