Belarusian users note that social networks, messengers and portals outside the national domain zone began to work without interruptions, and online services were updated, Interfax writes.
Let us recall that after the presidential elections on August 9, sites and messengers stopped working in Belarus. Moreover, not only independent portals, but also official resources were not opened. Except for the president's website.
Telecommunications operator Beltelecom announced that it intends to restore full-fledged access to the Internet by the end of the day, but it was possible to do this only by the morning of August 12. According to the operator, there was "a problem with external channels, heavy load".
Alexander Lukashenko, who won the election, said that the Belarusian government has no problems with the worldwide network. He pointed out that the Internet is being turned off “from abroad”, thus trying to provoke discontent among Belarusians.
Let us note that the Telegram messenger has created its own tools for bypassing blocking in Belarus.
- We have enabled our anti-censorship tools in Belarus, so Telegram remains available to most users. However, communication is still very unstable, as the Internet in the country is periodically completely disconnected, - said the founder of the company Pavel Durov.
