“They demand to transfer power to them. We regard this unequivocally - this is an attempt to seize power in the country with all the consequences that follow from this, ”he quotes the resident of Belt.
Lukashenko threatened everyone who will enter or have already entered this council that he will take retaliatory measures, but only within the framework of the Constitution. “We have enough legal measures to cool some hotheads,” Lukashenka said. He called the opposition representatives who joined the council "Nazis." “Look at this list - there are former offended people who once came to power, but could not resist it, some of them are untied Nazis,” Lukashenka added.
It should be added that among the "Nazis" there is the Nobel Prize in Literature Svetlana Aleksievich, the chairman of the "Innovative Instrument Making" association Lyudmila Antonovskaya, the chairman of the human rights center "Viasna" Ales Belyatsky, children's intensive care physician, candidate of medical sciences Andrey Vitushko, journalist Svetlana Kalinkina , economists Sergei Chaly and Dmitry Kruk, teacher, writer and literary critic Anna Sevyarynets, artist Vladimir Tsesler, professor of cultural studies Yulia Chernyavskaya and many other famous residents of the country.
Tikhanovskaya announced the creation of a Coordination Council for organizing the transfer of power in Belarus. She noted that through this council the opposition will conduct a dialogue with the current government. On Tuesday, the opposition released a preliminary list of councilors. It is noted that it will include at least 70 people. The Council plans to create its own political body, which will take over the process of peaceful transfer of power in the country. Earlier on Monday, Tikhanovskaya said that she was ready to be the national leader of Belarusians until new fair elections are held in the republic.
In turn, the Belarusian Congress of Democratic Trade Unions stated that the Tikhanovskaya Coordination Council alone would not be enough to peacefully transfer power in the country and prevent dual power. The trade unions called on, together with the strike committees at Belarusian enterprises, where strikes are now taking place, to create a National Strike Committee, and already on its behalf to conduct a dialogue with the current government .
