The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania has secured the entry into the country for the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and 31 officials from his entourage. The list has been submitted for approval to the Lithuanian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

It is reported by the Lithuanian portal Delfi.

The names of the officials on the list were not disclosed. The head of the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkavicius (pictured) noted that among those who were denied entry were officials from the OMON, KGB and the Central Election Commission of Belarus.

The Minister pointed out that Lithuania supports the "resolve of the European Council" in terms of imposing sanctions against those responsible for the use of violence against protesters in Belarus and for falsifying the results of the presidential elections.

Let us remind you that the European Union has announced sanctions against Belarusian officials. In addition, the European Commission announced the allocation of 53 million euros to Belarus.
