The German edition Bild reports that the messages that appeared earlier on the Belarusian opposition media and telegram channels about sending Russian "green men" to this country were confirmed to the editorial board by several sources in Berlin and Moscow.

In particular, last Sunday at least one Kremlin Il-76 cargo plane flew from the Chkalovsky military airport in the east of the Moscow region to Machulishchi airport near Minsk. Another flight was scheduled for Tuesday, the request of the Belarusian authorities, according to Bild, included one and a half hundred Russian guardsmen and again three tons of cargo, - reports the website of the radio station Ekho Moskvy. At the same time, according to the sources of the German newspaper, the General Staff of Belarus allegedly denied the Russian plane access to the country's airspace, and it never took off, which is regarded as a manifestation of sabotage of the Russian invasion of a number of Belarusian officials.

It is also reported that, allegedly, entire columns of trucks of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs were seen on the highway in the Smolensk region, leading towards Belarus. All inscriptions and markings on the sides of the vehicles were removed. Finally, according to Bild, the bases of the Russian OMON in St. Petersburg and Moscow are "empty".

Fortune-telling about the arrival of "polite little green men" in Minsk and other cities of Belarus is also being fueled by Russian propagandists. For example, RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan wrote on her Twitter: "In general, it's time for polite people to put things in order, of course. As they can".

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that the basis for mutual assistance in relations between the two countries is the Collective Security Treaty, which includes Russia and Belarus, and the Treaty on the Union State of the two countries. A number of obligations of the parties providing for such assistance are spelled out there. However, “now there is no such need and, in fact, the Belarusian leadership itself admitted that there is no such need”. A member of the Coordination Council of the Belarusian opposition, former Minister of Culture of the country and Ambassador to Poland and France Pavel Latushko, according to the information he has, came to the conclusion that the current Belarusian government and many officials are actually conducting an "Italian strike", playing into the hands of the protesters.

The counting of votes in the presidential elections in Belarus, held on August 9, led to a deep political crisis in the country, there are thousands of protests and strikes. Opposition supporters disagree with the fact that long-term head of the country Alexander Lukashenko won more than 80% of the vote and won the election again. Initially, the protests were dispersed by the Belarusian security forces, they used rubber bullets and flashbangs, at least four protesters were killed during the protests, and dozens of people are reported missing. The police detained more than seven thousand people, hundreds of protesters were severely beaten, including after the arrest.
