For the first time since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, Russia has been officially included in the list of countries dividing countries into categories compiled by the Cyprus Ministry of Health in accordance with the epidemiological situation. The Russian Federation was included in this list as a country of category C, writes TASS.
The representatives of a certain category from the countries of the C category can visit Cyprus.
- Only certain categories of citizens have the right to enter the Republic from countries of the group C, which have the opportunity to undergo a diagnostic test for coronavirus upon arrival in Cyprus or have a certificate of passing a PCR test for coronavirus with a negative result no later than 72 hours before departure, the Cypriot ministry said in a statement.
The Office gave an explanation that the specified categories of persons, not included in categories A and B, include citizens of Cyprus permanently residing on the island, members of their families (spouses, children and parents), foreign citizens who may reside in Cyprus on legal grounds (with a residence permit), those who are allowed to enter the territory of Cyprus in accordance with the Vienna Convention (employees of diplomatic missions), as well as those who have a special permit to enter the country from the government of the republic.
For them, the two-week quarantine rule applies equally - everyone will have to remain in self-isolation for 14 days. Two days before the end of this period, you will need to undergo a molecular test for coronavirus. Expenses - at your own expense.
- The laboratory test result must be sent to monada@mphs.moh.gov.cy. It is understood that self-isolation ends on the 14th day if the re-laboratory test is negative, the ministry said.
Let us remind that Poland opened air borders for Russians on August 22. Earlier, from August 1, Russians were allowed to fly to the UK, Tanzania and Turkey. At the same time, the border with Abkhazia was opened, negotiations are underway to resume flights to Switzerland.
