Hong Kong in Russian: 35 million people to live in Moscow in 2035?

A very interesting forecast that well characterizes the irrepressible greed of Moscow officials and developers was published by blogger Maxim Slepov:

In the comments, they sometimes use such an absurd argument, they say, the modern authorities are ready to transport at least all of Russia to Moscow. This is what they often say when they describe modern desolation in Russia: all life flows to megalopolises, villages simply die out, small towns are half-empty, because the working population is on duty in the same megalopolises.

Well, if you think about it, then generally speaking, these plans of the Reptilians are more or less realistic. If not all of Russia to Moscow, then half of it is absolutely possible. A matter of habit and control.

Here's a look at this shit from the first photo. This is the very outskirts of Moscow, the Khovrino district. My aunt lives nearby. I remember that when I was a child, they came here exactly as to the outskirts: Soviet high-rise buildings are practically in a green park, half-empty streets, some vacant lots, somewhere in the distance of the Moscow Ring Road.

The Khovrino metro was recently built. There is a large bus station next to the metro. In particular, buses go from here to the north-west, to Sheremetyevo airport. A real transfer hub. That is what it is called: "Bus Station Northern Gate".

And right next to the busy bus station, on the very outskirts of Moscow, they are building not a hotel, not offices, but the Discovery Park residential complex (see, it is named in a foreign way, which means fashionable, strong, youthful). Scanty odnushki from 10 million (very modest for Moscow). Buildings with 30 floors. In fact, in this particular section of Moscow, Hong Kong is reproduced, some kind of Tsim Sha Cui, where endless apartments are up, and below them are a subway station and endless lines of buses. Whoever was at least once will understand me perfectly.

Let's go a little further along Dybenko Street (second photo). We come across LCD Discovery. One can argue about architectural solutions, but it's a fact: the windows of one building directly into the windows of another building.

And so it is all over Moscow now. If you look at new buildings (despite all the crises, a lot is being built), then everywhere it is some kind of insane number of storeys (the norm is now from 25 floors and higher) and an extremely dense arrangement of buildings.

Now what kind of introductory we get. In relation to the Khrushchev-Brezhnev buildings (not to mention Stalin's), new houses are +/- (very approximately) 2 times higher. They stand to each other 2-3 times denser (no more groves right in the yards, which was generally the norm for the USSR). Fence, underground parking, shops, cinemas, pharmacies. Apartments are not becoming more spacious: they are often single rooms, European studios and other substitutes for normal housing for mortgagees. Thus, even on the existing areas, they build the way they are building now, having carried out the notorious Renovation, you can get a population density 4-6 times greater than the existing one.

Well, of course, there is historical housing that will not be demolished. There are luxury houses. There are some green areas that will not be destroyed. But in general, the idea of increasing the population of Moscow from the existing 15-17 (including migrants) to 70 million seems to be quite realizable.

The question, rather, will arise about something else: you need much more water (even with rationing), waste disposal, as well as radically different methods to control movement. However, His Majesty Virus helps the authorities with the latter.

This is how one huge human man can easily expect us, the Moscow + Moscow region system with a population of 70-90 million people. The rest 40-50 will quietly settle in the same shit in the other 10-15 megalopolises. Plus, the population will gradually decrease, because normal production in these cells is impossible.

It seemed unthinkable yesterday? From today it looks like a completely deliberate plan.

In connection with new types of employment (remote, partially remote) new conflicts may await us. Those terrible human beings, which are stuffed with the outskirts and suburbs of all modern large cities, were designed for a very specific type of residence. Namely: adults work from morning till night and only come home to sleep. Actually, hence the term "sleeping bags", which is horrible in essence.

Moreover, what was called "sleeping areas" in Soviet times now looks like very comfortable, green areas (I bring a photo of one of the old Moscow sleeping bags for comparison with the new one). These are completely finished blocks with all the necessary infrastructure, well-thought-out roads, comfortable distances between buildings. Of course, there are many questions to them, but what came later was much worse.

So, earlier this new housing (huge multi-storey cells, few parking lots, often small areas) was seen as a lesser evil. A person spent all his weekdays in a comfortable office, on weekends he often went to shopping centers, cinema and other entertainment. Vacation at the dacha, in Turkey, in Sochi.

Now, when many are forced to be locked in their cages and do not have the usual places of exit, living in another space (work, rest), when many are forced to arrange "home offices" in their Euro-girls, there will be a lot of questions about the quality of such housing.

Those places in which it was previously planned only to sleep (like a cabin in a submarine) now turn out to be almost the whole world around, and there is no other special offer. Employers, seeing that people are doing their jobs remotely, will continue to get rid of their offices. For a significant part of people, their 10 square meters per person is somewhere on the 19th floor of a 35-storey anthill, and the windows of which you can see the neighboring wall - this will now be their home, and their work, and their rest. This is a new "quality" of life.
