"In addition to the German laboratory has two research centers in France and Sweden have confirmed that the body of Navalny contained the poison Novichok", - is listed in the report of the German government on Twitter.
German Cabinet spokesman Steffen Seibert made an official statement on the Navalny case on Monday. According to him, the conclusions of German doctors have already been confirmed by two independent laboratories in France and Sweden. The country is now awaiting the outcome of the investigation from the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW). “ We again call on Russia to explain what happened. We are in close contact with our European partners on the next steps”, - Seibert said.
Since the poison found in the politician's body violates the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, Germany had previously transferred the results of the analysis to Navalny, obtained in a German laboratory, to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW). Seibert sees no point in transmitting the results of analyzes to Russia. According to him, Russia can see for itself what substance Navalny was poisoned with, since Russia has all the necessary analyzes of the politician for this.
Navalny became ill while returning from Tomsk to Moscow. The plane in which he flew urgently landed in Omsk. He was taken to the hospital in a coma condition. Russian doctors did not find traces of poisoning in his body, believing that a diet could lead to a deterioration in health. Two days later, the politician was transported to a German clinic, whose doctors found traces of the deadly poison in Navalny's body. Last week, Navalny emerged from a coma, he reacts to speech and is on the mend.
