Andrey Fursov: "Russian society is degrading according to the principle of "dumb and dumber"

“For its successful functioning, the control subsystem, which is becoming not very developed, must make society become dumber, that is, go to such a scheme: dumb and even dumber,” says Andrey Fursov. On the Den TV YouTube channel, the historian explained what options Russia has for overcoming the crisis.

“We are living in a crisis that is just beginning, and it is already clear that it will be much more serious than the one that the world experienced at the beginning of the last century.

The interaction of elites that we see now is not the same as it was before, and the elites themselves are of a completely different quality. The chimney is lower - the smoke is thinner.

This applies to both our elites and the West. Moreover, I do not idealize either the Western elite of the 1960s or the Soviet one. And yet, feel the difference.

Let me emphasize that I use the term "elite" in the sense in which political scientists use it - they are not the best in general, but those who have climbed up.

It is important to understand that the further development of the system depends on the choice made by the leaders in a crisis situation.

What we see now in our country is a situation similar to the beginning of the 20th century, and not from the 1960s to the 70s, when the USSR was the most powerful superpower No. 2.

Nowadays it is something completely different, it is not a superpower, but a regional power with very incomprehensible development prospects.

It is already clear that this formation is the Russian Federation, more complex than the governing system.

And here, in fact, there can be two ways out of the crisis.

Either the control subsystem suddenly begins to become more complex and pulls out the system, or it collapses.

But there is, however, another option: to drastically simplify the system.

Let's recall Gref, who said that in no case should you have a mass of educated people, otherwise they will not be manipulated, and so on,

And it turns out that in this case, for the successful functioning of the not very developed control subsystem, the way out is this: to make society even more stupid.

That is, such a scheme, so to speak: dumb and dumber.

But the fact is that a society built on the principle of "dumb, even dumber" is a very easy target for external forces.

And in this sense, such "dead ends" work, in fact, whether they like it or not, for an external force, which will certainly take advantage of this.
