Such information is provided by the Public Opinion Foundation (FOM). From the survey results it follows that 20% of respondents gave a positive answer to the question "if the employer offered you to increase your salary by 10-15% and at the same time they would pay you half" in an envelope ", would you agree to such an offer?" Analysts also found that 22% of all respondents, and half of those who receive only "white" salary, would not agree to the "envelope" under these conditions.
Sociologists point out that 46% of all survey participants receive only official wages, and the proportion of working Russians among all respondents is 58%.
The survey also showed that 5% of employees have all their income unofficial. And 4% receive an “envelope” part of their salary. Moreover, 20% believe that the number of people receiving such income has increased during the pandemic. 33% are confident that the coronavirus has not affected the number of recipients of money in the envelope. 9% believe that during the epidemic there were fewer recipients of “gray” income. 39% admitted that they could not give an answer to this question.
At the same time, a survey conducted earlier showed that the number of Russians willing to receive unofficial wages has reached a historic low. Moreover, the indicator grew rapidly during self-isolation - up to 46%. It is noteworthy that young people - Russians under 24 years old - showed the least loyalty to illegal income.
Let us recall that at the end of 2019, the volume of “gray” salaries was equal to 10 trillion rubles.
