Over 5 billion rubles will be spent on the repair of the Government House

In the White House, according to RBC, the waterproofing coating, engineering systems, roofing and brickwork have been damaged. The roof of the garage does not retain moisture when it rains, and water pours in from the ceiling. The renovation will also affect the awards hall and the entrance hall.

This amount also includes the improvement of the area around the government building.

The work plan was approved in September last year, and repairs will begin in 2021. It will be carried out in stages. Note that spending is planned for 2022 in the amount of 1.1 billion rubles, for 2023 - 799.1 million rubles. The explanatory note to the draft federal budget does not indicate the expenditures on the project for the current year. At the same time, the amount of 5.27 billion is called by the government's press service.

During the renovation, most of the White House employees will move to the historic building of the former People's Commissariat for Ethnic Affairs in Trubnikovsky Lane.

Let us recall that the reconstruction of the State Duma building was estimated more modestly - more than 4 billion rubles.
