Russian and Belarusian artists, including Philip Kirkorov, Nikolay Baskov, Anita Tsoi and Alexander Buinov, recorded a musical composition with one of the quotes of the current President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. The artists used the phrase of Lukashenko "Don't give away your beloved".

Lukashenko said these words during his address to the people on August 4 before the presidential elections. “Today we hold in our hands our future, the future of our independent Belarus. We will not give the country to you. Independence is worth a lot, but it is worth it to preserve it for future generations. vulnerable, but it is our beloved country. And they don’t give up our beloved”, - Lukashenko said then.

The chorus of the recorded song ends with the words "they don't give their beloved". The clip was published on Youtube.

On August 9, presidential elections were held in Belarus. According to the Central Election Commission, they were once again won by the incumbent President Alexander Lukashenko. Most Belarusians disagree with the voting results, believing that the results were falsified. Since the elections, spontaneous protests have not ceased in the country, which are suppressed by the security forces with particular cruelty. Opposition leaders have been arrested. Citizens are demanding new and fair elections.

Why did the Russian performers appear in the video, the purpose of which is obvious - to support Lukashenka, is perhaps a rhetorical question. The chanting of dictatorship is part of the profession.
