The head of the Altai Territory got a positive coronavirus test result

The Governor of the Altai Territory Viktor Tomenko again went to work remotely, this time the test carried out confirmed that he has a coronavirus.

"Governor Viktor Tomenko switched to a remote mode of operation - a test for COVID-19 showed a positive result. In this regard, the head of the region has been at home since September 22 and is undergoing outpatient treatment", the regional government said in a statement.

For the next two weeks, all events with the participation of the governor have been canceled. However, the head of the region is in touch with the leadership of all regional authorities.

Tomenko himself appealed to the residents of the Altai Territory and called for the necessary safety measures and the prevention of coronavirus.

Let us recall that he began work remotely at the end of June in connection with the outbreak of the coronavirus. Then the covid was confirmed by several members of the regional government.

To date, 73 new cases of covid have been identified in the region. In total, 13,060 cases of new coronavirus infection have been confirmed in the region.
