Kolya Lukashenko has reached the age of legal responsibility. What's next?

The 16-year-old has already reached the age to be aware of his share of responsibility for his father's actions as well.

A video appeared on the Web in which the Belarusian fashion designer Sasha Varlamov, who fled from repression, admits that it was he who once supplied the girls to the bathhouse of President Lukashenko. This was not in vain for him: one of the most famous Belarusian fashion designers Varlamov served three years in a Belarusian prison and is now hiding in Germany. The fashion designer decided to tell everything he knows about Lukashenko on camera. He also shared a terrible story of how Alexander Lukashenko severely beat his personal nurse Irina Abelskaya in 2004 after learning that she was three months pregnant. Among other things, Lukashenko, according to the designer, yelled to his victim: "Do you want to enter the throne with the help of genitals?" And after 6 months Kolya was born. True, everything ended well with Abelskaya, she became the chief physician of the clinic of the Presidential Property Management Department.

Publicist Mikhail Makogon comments on this story in his blog:

“I watched Varlamov's video here and, I must say, I am a little surprised by the flow of sympathy towards Nikolay Lukashenko. In all publications, he looks like some unfortunate little hostage of the situation.

First, drop the 16 year old stallion to be called a baby. He is already with a good margin at the age when it is necessary to make decisions and bear responsibility for them, even from a legal point of view: the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, as well as the Russian Federation, sets the age of criminal responsibility at the very 16 years, i.e., believes that the person who has achieved it is already capable of fully realizing the nature and social danger of their actions.

16 years in Russia (in the Republic of Belarus - too lazy to look) is the age from which, under some (rather broad) circumstances, you can get married and even receive full emancipation.

Secondly, if your empathy is torn to freedom, then pay sympathy to the peers of the unfortunate Kolenka, whom riot police are happy to knead at protest rallies, and not ride under guard in a helicopter at the expense of taxpayers.

Thirdly, friends, even real children - children are different.

In most states of the United States, unlike in Europe, there is generally no lower level of responsibility for especially serious crimes. It doesn't matter how old you are, but for murder of the first or second degree, you will be taken out of juvenile justice and tried as an adult.

There are many such cases, one of the most famous is the case of Eric Smith, who in August 1993, at the age of 13, killed a 4-year-old neighbor's child in a village in New York State.

He was charged with second-degree murder and sentenced from 9 years to life in prison.

Eric Smith is 40 today, he is still in prison, for 27 years. And there is very little chance that the pardon commission will release him before he begins to go by himself.

Nikolay Lukashenko is a grown man from the inner circle of a cruel dictator. A dictator responsible for the death and injury of many people. He is an active politician, if he himself does not realize it, if he grew up at the withers, but not very much in his mind, then these are his personal difficulties..."
