"Lies and misinformation": Baku denied Yerevan's statement about the downed plane

“The message spread by the Armenian side about the downed plane of the Azerbaijani Air Force in the evening is a lie and disinformation”, - RBC quotes the words of the head of the press service of the Azerbaijani department, Colonel Vagif Dargahli.

It should be reminded that on September 27, hostilities between Armenia and Azerbaijan began on the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh. The Azerbaijani authorities are assuring them of conducting a "counter-offensive operation" in response to "provocations" from the Armenian side, which, according to the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, fired on settlements on the border area in Karabakh. But the Armenian military department claims that Azerbaijan was actually the initiator of the outbreak of hostilities.

The Ministry of Defense of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, we note, announced the death of 84 soldiers over the past two days.

Initially, the conflict broke out in 1988, when the Nagorno-Karabakh region announced its secession from the Azerbaijan SSR. Control over the territory was lost after clashes in 1992-1994.
