The number of killed and wounded in the battles for Nagorno-Karabakh has reached almost three thousand people over the past three days.

During the fierce hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh, up to 2,300 Armenian soldiers and about 500 Azerbaijani soldiers were killed and wounded.

As Dozhd reports with reference to the data of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan and the statements of the leadership of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, bloodshed on the line of contact continues.

"According to the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, in three days the losses of the Armenian army amounted to up to 2.3 thousand soldiers, about 130 tanks and other armored vehicles, more than 200 artillery, rocket launchers, mortars, about 25 air defense systems, about 50 anti-tank vehicles and 55 units of vehicles", - the message says.

In the morning of September 30, the Armed Forces of Armenia tried to regain the "lost positions" in the Magadiz direction, but the Azerbaijani army launched a counter-attack.

The warring parties accuse each other of spreading misinformation. The Armenian leadership claims that it "confuses the number of its own losses in one day and rewrites the forces of Armenia".

Armenia announced the destruction of two drones of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in the sky over Stepanakert on the night of September 30. The day before, according to the statements of the Armenian side, the Armenian Su-24 became a victim of the Turkish fighter. Turkey, which openly sided with Azerbaijan, denies this information.

The situation in Nagorno-Karabakh escalated on September 27, when Azerbaijan and Armenia, accusing each other of provocations, began military operations in the border area. The injured and the dead are not only among the military, but also among the civilian population.

Against the background of the conflict, Iran on September 30 began the transfer of heavy military equipment to the border with Azerbaijan, declaring its readiness to lend a helping hand to Armenia if a request for military support is received. The Armenians living in Russia came up with a proposal to send up to 20 thousand Armenian volunteers to the hot spot. European countries, China and the United States called on the parties to end the bloodshed.
