Baku denies information about Armenian Su-25 attack aircraft shot down by Turkey

“The information that the Su-25 aircraft belonging to Armenia was shot down by the F-16 aircraft is an absolute lie, nonsense”, - said Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajinev in a conversation with RIA Novosti.

The head of the press service of the defense ministry, Vagif Dyargyakhli, also called the report about the downed Armenian plane a lie.

Earlier, the press secretary of the Armenian Defense Ministry Shushan Stepanyan said that the Turkish F-16 shot down an Armenian Su-15 in the air.

According to Hajiyev, Baku rejects these data and advises the Armenian side to look at the radars.

"On the radars, you can clearly see which plane is taking off where and when. In the radar system of Azerbaijan, there is no information at all about the raising of a Su-25 aircraft from the territory of Armenia”, - Hajiyev said.

Earlier, it should be reminded, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry denied the statement of Armenia about the downed plane of the country's air force on the contact line in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Meanwhile, the army of Nagorno-Karabakh published a video showing the crash of the second Azerbaijani plane, which violated the borders of the unrecognized republic. The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry did not comment on the incident.
