Oppositionist Alexey Navalny said that Russian President Vladimir Putin was behind his poisoning, and he had no other versions of what happened.

Navalny said this in an interview with the German magazine Der Spiegel.

“I claim that Putin was behind this crime, I have no other versions of the crime”, - the publication quotes Navalny.

In addition, the oppositionist said that he intends to return to Russia.

"My task now is to remain a guy who is not afraid. And I'm not afraid!", - he said.

Fragments of the interview were published ahead of the EU summit, which is scheduled for October 1 and 2.

Let us remind you that earlier the Kremlin called the version about traces of the Novichok poison on Navalny's bottle as absurd. Prior to that, Russian security officials and employees of state clinics categorically asserted that they allegedly failed to identify traces of Novichok in Navalny's analyzes.

Alexey Navalny slipped into a coma on August 20 while traveling from Tomsk to Moscow. He was unconscious for over two weeks. On September 7, doctors at the Charité clinic reported that Navalny had come out of a coma and was on the mend. He remembered everything that happened to him until the moment he passed out on board the plane.
