Pashinyan made a statement on the "terrorist" nature of the new war over Karabakh on his Facebook page.
"This terrorism equally threatens the United States, Iran, Russia and France", - Pashinyan's words are quoted by Dozhd.
According to the politician, today the borders of Nagorno-Karabakh have become "the advanced civilization", since international terrorists are fighting on the side of the Azerbaijani-Turkish alliance. Pashinyan believes that the goals of terrorism are not limited to the geographical borders of states, therefore Armenia, together with Nagorno-Karabakh, "are fighting for global security".
The confrontation between Azerbaijan and Armenia over Nagorno-Karabakh escalated last Sunday. Both countries are fighting fierce battles for the enclave. According to the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, the Turkish Air Force using F-16 fighters is participating in the air strikes along the front line, the control of the air strikes is from the Turkish Erzrum. In turn, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan states that the Armenian side has used the Tochka U missile systems.
In addition to military operations on the ground and in the air, the sides are waging an information war, daily announcing the enemy's losses and refuting the data voiced by the opposing side. While the Kremlin is only calling on the parties to cease fire, the State Duma is proposing to authorize the sending of the Russian army to Karabakh.
According to a number of researchers, the current conflict in Karabakh will inevitably spread to the territory of Russia and Turkey, which support the opposing sides in it. Turkish President Recep Erdogan has already officially supported the Azerbaijani side in the conflict and called on Armenia to immediately leave the "occupied territory of Azerbaijan". On September 28, Armenia and Azerbaijan accused each other of bringing Syrian mercenaries into the conflict zone in Nagorno-Karabakh. According to Interfax, there are about 3,000 mercenaries from Syria and Libya on the side of Azerbaijan, headed by the head of the main department of administrative services of the Turkish Defense Ministry, Heksel Kahya.
In turn, the Russian Foreign Ministry called on not to allow the use of "foreign terrorists and mercenaries" and to withdraw them from the region.
