“There are no decisions to close schools en masse and transfer students to the distance learning”, - Ria Novosti writes, citing the ministry.
Earlier, this statement was made by the Deputy Minister of Education Viktor Basyuk. According to him, schools in Moscow, the Ulyanovsk region and Sakhalin are being transferred to distance learning. From how many schools in these regions will go to remote school again, the local authorities will decide, the deputy minister added. In particular, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin previously announced a two-week vacation in Moscow schools from October 5. From the same day, all employers were obliged to transfer at least 30% of their employees to remote work.
The ministry also added that only 0.3% of schools are now quarantined across the country. Earlier, Basyuk stated that 3% of educational institutions were closed throughout the country for quarantine due to the outbreak of the epidemic.
