The French newspaper Le Monde, referring to its sources, said that in connection with the incident with the Russian oppositionist Alexei Navalny, employees of the Russian presidential administration and law enforcement agencies - only nine people - will be added to the section list of France and Germany.

The sanctions measures include a ban on entry to Europe and blocking bank accounts.

“These proposals will target people whom we believe are responsible for this crime, and this is a violation of international standards”, - the authors of the article point out.

According to French journalists, the State Research Institute of Organic Chemistry and Technology (GoNIIOKhT) may fall under the sanctions. The full list of those involved in the sanctions will be discussed at a meeting of the Council on International Affairs in Brussels on October 12, the article says.

Recall that earlier France and Germany announced plans to propose to the European Union to impose sanctions against the Russian Federation due to the situation with Navalny. Restrictions may affect those deemed guilty of a “crime” by Paris and Berlin and those “involved in the Novice program. Earlier, Navalny himself advised German Chancellor Angela Merkel to impose sanctions against Russian oligarchs and the entourage of Russian President Vladimir Putin. He considered it "ineffective" to impose sanctions against the country.

The UK has already agreed to support anti-Russian measures.

Let us recall that the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons revealed the presence of the Novichok poison in Navalny's analyzes.
