He clarified that those infected with covid may have chronic diseases or a predisposition to some diseases, in addition, those vaccinated are of different ages, and therefore it is necessary to be able to choose a specific drug for each of them.

- The more vaccines there are, the better physicians will be able to determine what is needed in a particular case and apply it in a targeted manner. Probably, it will eventually stop the pandemic', - RIA Novosti quoted Sergeyev's words.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health announced the end date of the coronavirus pandemic. According to the chief pulmonologist of the department, Sergei Avdeev, it will last at least another year, and Russians will observe an increase in the incidence for several months. Earlier, Rospotrebnadzor predicted the time to reach a plateau in the incidence of covid in Russia.

Over the past day, 13,592 new cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in the country. This is slightly less than the day before, when another record was set for the number of cases per day - 13 634. On October 12, 125 patients died, 3 793 patients recovered.
