“Russian-made air defense systems in Karabakh were helpless”, - says Israeli political observer Avraham Shmulevich. On the Newsader YouTube channel, he said that the military conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh was a failure of Russian weapons systems.

“If the Armenian generals, as is often the case, were preparing for the last battle - they clearly believed that the war would go on as it went during the previous clashes, then Azerbaijan unexpectedly showed its readiness for a new type of war, the 21st century.

They are using completely new tactics of using new weapons - drones.

This is almost the first war in which drones are used against regular armed forces on this scale.

And another important aspect: the Russian-made air defense systems, which Armenia has in service, turned out to be completely helpless.

That is, the sky of Karabakh is completely captured by Azerbaijan.

Armenia periodically reports about some shot down drones, but this, I must say, is completely normal. Unlike manned aircraft, the army can, so to speak, afford the expenditure of equipment. And drones are much cheaper than conventional planes. Actually, they are designed to be knocked down.

But even if some drones of Azerbaijan were shot down, their number does not exceed some critical mass in order to complicate military operations. The sky, I repeat, is completely under the control of Azerbaijan.

There are quite a few Russian and Armenian correspondents who give streams from the sites of shelling, and I have never seen air defense actions against these drones.

The usual picture - there were several such reports - the reconnaissance drone hangs as long as it wants, no one knocks it down, then an attack drone appears and strikes, while we do not see any actions of Armenian air defense. This is the first thing.

Second, they use drones to destroy infrastructure, equipment, and manpower.

It turns out that the Armenian army cannot even concentrate manpower, because they immediately become the target of a blow, that is, the rear is completely disorganized.

And then - the actions of missiles, which make it possible to destroy large infrastructure nodes.

The Armenian army was not ready for all this.

And given that the Armenian army is a clone of the Russian army and is being built according to the patterns of the Russian army, it must be assumed that the Russian army is also not ready for a modern type of war.

Actually, one of the reasons why this is happening is because there are no shock drones in service with Armenia.

These are drones of the type supplied to Azerbaijan by Israel and Turkey. And Armenia does not have them, because they are not in service with the Russian army, this is important.

Again, the Armenians could probably buy them, for example, from China, but they did not.

Perhaps because they simply do not have enough money, or because the Armenian generals - and the Russian ones who stand behind them - did not appreciate the capabilities and importance of this type of weapon.

If they appreciated, then the money would be found, presumably.

That is, from here we can draw conclusions about the readiness of the Russian army for war in the 21st century. This readiness is not very high".
