Peskov did not see political motives in the search for Tikhanovskaya on the territory of the Russian Federation

He specified that Tikhanovskaya “was put on the wanted list by the Belarusian law enforcement officers, and we, in turn. We have a unified system and unified obligations with them. "

Peskov stressed that the situation with Tikhanovskaya does not fall into the category of those. Which can be considered persecution for political reasons.

Recall that Tikhanovskaya, who fled from Belarus to Lithuania, was put on the wanted list on October 7. Today it became known that she wanted declared for calling for the violent overthrow of the constitutional order.

It should be reminded that on October 13, Tihanovskaya announced a three-point ultimatum to President Alexander Lukashenko: within the next 13 days he must resign, completely stop violence in the streets and release all political prisoners. Moreover, the day before, the Belarusian oppositionists put forward demands to the republican authorities, including the holding of new open elections, the investigation of the crime on the facts of violence against peaceful Belarusians and the release of political prisoners, but there was no resignation of Lukashenka. Prior to that, Tikhanovskaya stated that Lukashenko's departure from the post of head of the republic is only a matter of time. She even promised him safety if he "peacefully" leaves his post.

Lukashenka, in turn, stated that he would not surrender power in the country under any pretext, since the people had not elected him for this earlier. The Belarusian leader allowed new elections in the country only after the adoption of amendments to the Constitution.
