RIA Novosti was told about this by the head of the National Association of Professional Collection Agencies (NAPKA) Elman Mehdiyev. According to him, half of those in arrears refer to a drop in income, 30% complain about the loss of their job, and 15% complain about a lack of funds. Mehdiyev emphasized that in this way the reasons given by the defaulters became "more real".
“If in March 55% of debtors referred to financial difficulties, now 70%”, - the expert clarifies.
At the same time, 6% of those who are late refuse to make payments due to disagreement with the amount of debt. Slightly more of those - 7% - who are sure that in the current realities it is possible not to repay the loan at all. And another 7% intend to go to court in order to significantly reduce the amount of debt, or not to pay it at all.
- Debtors have practically ceased to name such a reason as the inability to cope with their payment burden due to a new loan. This is a consequence of the tightening of the lending policy of both banks and microfinance organizations, - said the President of NAPKA.
It should be noted that according to the rating of regional debt burden given by RIA Novosti, its average level has grown over the current year from 47.1% to 49.1%. Least of all loans are taken in Ingushetia - 10.3%. Most debtors to credit institutions live in Kalmykia - 86.9%. Moscow is in seventh place - 29.6%.
