Ex-deputy head of the Rosgvardia suspected of fraud

Former Deputy Director of the Russian Guard Sergey Mileiko was detained on suspicion of fraud. The federal service emphasizes that he was dismissed from office last year after an audit.

This was reported by Kommersant.

Rosgvardia (Russian Guard) spokesman Valery Gribakin told Interfax that a check was actually carried out against Mileiko. Gribakin said that Mileiko has not held a leading position since last summer.

"In connection with the publications in the media concerning the former deputy director of the Rosgvardia S.I. Mileiko, we declare that since the summer of 2019 S.I.".

Let us recall that in 2014 Mileiko served as deputy president of the North Caucasus Federal District. From 2017 to summer 2019, he worked as Deputy Director of the Russian Guard.

Kommersant wrote that the lieutenant general was detained by military investigators of the TFR as part of a criminal investigation into a particularly large fraud. Investigators insist on the version according to which, in 2012, Mileiko's wife illegally received a non-residential premises at a reduced cost in a house for the military in Balashikha, and later a beauty salon was opened there. In addition, the detainee is being checked for involvement in fraud with contracts for the supply of uniforms to the Russian Guard - he oversaw these contracts, being the chief logistics officer of the department.
