The descent vehicle of the Soyuz MS-16 manned spacecraft with Russian cosmonauts Anatoly Ivanishin, Ivan Wagner and American astronaut Chris Cassidy on board returned to Earth. He landed in the Kazakh steppe southeast of the city of Zhezkazgan.

The crew was evacuated from the Soyuz MS-16. The state of health of all three is assessed as good, Roscosmos said in a statement.

The spacecraft undocked from the International Space Station (ISS) on Thursday night at 2:32 am Moscow time. Now Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Ryzhikov and Sergei Kud-Sverchkov, as well as NASA astronaut Kathleen Rubins, continue to work at the station.

Let us recall that Ivanishin and Vanger conducted scientific experiments on the ISS. Since August, they had to search for the place of air leak from the station. On October 19, Wagner announced the isolation of the leak with temporary means. It was found thanks to tea bags. Ryzhikov is currently applying a new temporary patch.
